Best known for sending it with style, Mike Riddle has been competing in the professional halfpipe skiing circuit for the past five years producing podium results at top events worldwide. A regular at X Games, European X Games, The Winter Dew Tour, World Cups and other major events, he has consistently proven to be a top competitor. Mike’s career highlights include 2008 European Open champion, 2010 Winter Dew Tour overall title, 2011 FIS World Champion, 2012 AFP Championships Winner and 2013 World Cup Halfpipe Overall Champion.
Growing up in the small town of Sherwood Park, Alberta he began his competitive career 11 years ago as part of the Alberta Big Air Team. After years of pushing for his sport to be included in the Olympics, the announcement of that halfpipe skiing would be an official Olympic discipline in May 2011 was a long awaited milestone and life changing moment.
Now a member of the Canadian National Team, he has a complex training schedule, multiple coaches, and state-of-the-art resources all designed to maximize his ability to bring home a medal at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.
Sponsored by The North Face, Atomic, Giro, Rockstar, Skullcandy, Booster Strap, Swix and Voleurz, Mike has high hopes and expectations for the upcoming years. With his sights now set on Sochi, and backed by industry leading sponsors, his future is limitless.
