Katie Schide is an exceptional trail runner born in Maine, USA. Trail running wasn’t her first passion, instead she played a lot of team sports growing up. But it was during her college summer breaks, where she worked in mountain huts in New Hampshire’s White Mountains, where she discovered her love for exploring rocky trails. This love blossomed into competitive hunger once she moved to Europe, where Katie unearthed her passion for racing.
Katie has gone onto achieve plenty of success in the field. She has won several races including the Transrockies Run, Madeira Ultra 85km, the 90K Mont-Blanc, Swissalpine Marathon and Trail du Ventoux. She has also preformed well at UTMB in both the UTMB and CCC distance. Katie has also recorded her own FKT at Hut Traverse. It’s clear to see that she is a force to be reckoned with in the trail running world.
When she isn’t racing, Katie loves spending long days moving through the mountains – whether that be running, skiing, biking, or a combination of all three.
